Ding Ding is a Hong Kong tram arrival and stop information app. This Privacy Policy explains how the app may access and use data.
App name: Ding Ding
Developer: Hinnes Lung
Contact: hinneslung@gmail.com
Information the app uses
- Location: if you allow location access, the app uses your current location to suggest nearby tram stops and show your current position on the map.
- App and device data: Google Mobile Ads, Google User Messaging Platform, Google Maps, AMap/Gaode Maps, and Firebase may process device identifiers, diagnostics, approximate interaction data, and related technical data needed to run the app, measure crashes, and support advertising.
What the app does not do
- Ding Ding does not require an account.
- Ding Ding does not store a personal profile on its own servers.
- Preferences such as saved stops, language, privacy notice status, and analytics settings are stored locally on your device.
Advertising
The app uses Google Mobile Ads to display ads. Before requesting ads, the app uses Google's consent flow to determine whether consent is needed and to present privacy choices where required.
On Android, Google may use the Advertising ID or comparable device data for advertising, fraud prevention, and measurement, subject to your consent choices and device settings. On supported iOS versions, Google may use the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you grant App Tracking Transparency permission.
Analytics and crash reporting
The app includes Firebase SDKs for analytics and crash reporting. In the Android app, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics remain off unless you allow anonymous analytics and crash reports in the first-launch privacy prompt or later enable Analytics & diagnostics in About > Data & Privacy.
